The Squirt is not perfect, but it's a hell of a lot closer to perfect than anything I tried. Of course, this only reflects my personal preferences.
Most people have a Leatherman Micra handled, so let's compare this with the Micra an idea of its size and shape. If you put the hinge end of the two devices on a flat surface, the Squirt achieved only at the bottom end opening of the Micra rivets. This makes about 8.3 "shorter than the Micra. Widths aresimilar may also be identical. The Squirt is a bit 'more often, and the difference is about 8.1 ".
Finishing Squirt, both aluminum and steel components, is much better than the Micra. The anodized aluminum is truly remarkable, but I am sure it was stolen and scratched over time. Anodized, but not like the skin painting or plating. The metal edges of Squirt (other than the knife blade) Morerounded, and ends when the instrument is closed.
So how does it work? Very good. Although not all geegaws some pocket multi-tools are, it's what I want. Moreover, the quality and size for instruments more than over. The gun is something that I should have. FewPeople prefer scissors (or both) and luckily there are a pair of scissors version of this device, called S4. The blades are not identical to the S4, but are quite similar. The clamps are P4 is a miracle. They are much longer and considerably narrower than the clamp to a bear Victorinox Jaws. This makes them ideal for working with wire and reached the jumper on the motherboard, and pulled things out from the premises close. They can function as pliers, negating the need for outside multidisciplinary MicraTweezers. Are also strong enough to really work, like cutting heavy wire and turning moderately large screws and nuts. The length gives you more leverage higher. These clamps are far superior to the fragile folding gun found on many other multi-tools, in particular the "Swiss boxcutter.
The blade of the knife is 1-5/8 ", if extended. The shape of the blade is standard and there are no waves. Frankly, I hate my teeth, because I often use my boxcutter to openEnvelopes, jagged leaves, doing something is not right.
The screwdriver, awl and file fold from opposite ends. This means that you only have a single blade on both sides and both ends of the knife. The blades are on both sides of each "spine" for the gun, so you do not receive the shock with a tool that has different blades fold-out on each rivet or screw. This makes a big difference in strength.
The screwdrivers are very useful. There is a smallScrewdriver (just the right size for my glasses) and a flat screwdriver, a Phillips medium-sized driver. They are all solid and work great. The weevil is about 8.7 cm long and very strong. Some people do not care about the awl, but I use my time. The file is absolutely fantastic. The page is fine in the nails, not a second, while the rough side can easily handle wood, metal and plastic. It is not made of SS, but is built like a normal file. I neededa real file, not one of those SS "rough" surfaces, which are passed to other instruments.
In short, a work of art really nice multi-tool. If you liked Jaws Bear or the Micra will be smaller, better feeling and better built. Leatherman gets an A + for the baby!

Leatherman’s Squirt P4 is an amazingly compact multitool, measuring a mere 2-1/4 inches in length and weighing less than 2 ounces. But for such a tiny unit, the Squirt packs a lot of tough, functional tools–needle-nose pliers, a straight knife, a file, a bottle opener, wire cutters, an awl, and three screwdrivers.
