Ok this mouse has surprised me.
I knew it would most likely be of good quality and it is.
It works great and is perfect for my LT.
The USB plug is fine as my ports are out of the way one the side of my LT.
The surprise, this mouse has been dropped 3 times now and onto a hard wood floor, not carpet!
Once it was accidentally hit and slid off the table and went flying, bouncing, across the floor. I thought it was history.
All 3 times its fallen, it hit hard enough that the battery compartment flew open and the batteries even came out.
But the darn mouse still works as good as it did the first day I got it!
I have dropped mice before and they never lived through what this one has. Usually one hard drop on a hard floor is enough to damage it, but not this little guy!!!
I cant say anything neg about this mouse. To live through what it has and still operate to perfection, its a winner!
I have a gateway LT with win7 and the mouse was just plug and go!! 
It cant get any better.
